St. Matthew's Endowment Board Grants
Supporting Worship, Ministry, and Mission Outreach
Applications due April 15, 2024
The St. Matthew’s Endowment Fund was established to support worship, ministry, and the outreach mission of St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church. Each year the Endowment Board distributes grants from income generated by the fund as interest and cash dividends. Grants cannot support normal operation costs of the church but may be used for special projects and to begin new programs or initiatives. Applicants do not need to be members of St. Matthew’s but the purpose of the grant must further one or more of the goals of the fund.
In past years grants have supported programs to provide food and other items to those in need, ministry in Interior Alaska churches and communities, theological and ministry training and workshops, etc.
Endowment Fund Grants are due April 15 and recipients are announced at the Pentecost Service (late May/early June). If you send your application by USPS please allow sufficient time for it to arrive before the deadline. If you choose to drop off your application packet at the Church, please call first to be sure someone will be available to receive it.
